Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy provides you with skills and strengthens your abilities to achieve your goals in the context of a mental disorder.
Behavioral therapy is an evidence based therapeutic approach. It differs from other psychotherapeutic schools (such as psychoanalysis or systemic therapy) by its specific theoretical model and approach. Past learning experiences have led to the development of certain patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving that are no longer helpful but still maintained by certain factors. The goal is to identify these factors, understand the overall context, and initiate change to facilitate new experiences – in essence relearning how to deal with certain circumstances. This approach involves many practical exercises, which is why it is called behavioral therapy. Behavior – and accordingly thoughts and feelings – can be changed. It sometimes requires courage and determination, but the effort and its results can be very rewarding. I look forward to accompanying you on your journey!

Procedure
In an initial consultation, we can get to know each other, explore your issue, and discuss the process. In up to four ensuing trial sessions we then further familiarize ourselves and get a better understanding of the problem and its sustaining conditions using diagnostic tools. If we are a good fit, we can then apply for psychotherapy with your private health insurance: for short-term therapy with up to 24 sessions or long-term therapy with up to 60 sessions, depending on your needs.
If you wish to pay for the psychotherapy yourself, involving your health insurance is not necessary.
